Solution Of Water Chiller Problem In Laser Cutting Machine

If your machine was bought before 2011, you can check the ‘problem of Level Switch by

checking the alarming lights (panel red light on, green light off, the buzzer sounds)

Way to identify the problem

① Call our service department, provide the factory code of the chiller (beside the outlet) to

confirm the date of manufacture.

②Turn off the power of the chiller, use a pipe to connect water inlet to the outlet

Remove the air filter and you’ll find the level switch, air filter is on the right side of the machine.

(level switch is some kind like hex nut type fittings, connecting four wires, one red, one orange,

two black)

Strip the wrap belt which connect the level switch and you will see four power cord inside

Cut four power cords, connect the red wire and orange wire, meanwhile, connect the black wire

and black wire, and turn on the power of chiller, checking the status of the chiller.

a) If chiller works normally by this way, that means the water level switch has some problem. You

can short circuit the wires without changing this level switch;

b) If the chiller continues alarming, please do the next judge.

2. Water outlet with alarm (panel red light on, green light off, the buzzer continuing beep, beep)

Failure

Chiller water circulation pipe is blocked

Way to identify the problem

Turn off the chiller, connect water inlet with outlet, open chiller, checking the status of chiller

1.1) continue to alarm (red light on, green light off, buzzer sounds)

Determine the cause

A) Water circulation of chiller blocked

Method to determine

Unscrew the top screw of chiller, check the inside status

a) Water circulation pipe of chiller get bended, causing the circulation system blocked;

b) Water circulation pipe has dirt things inside and get blocked, causing the circulation system

blocked;

B)  Accessories or wire connection failure

Determine the method (with measurement tools, such as multimeter)

① Check if the water pump shaking during working or abnormal noise and etc. (water

intermittent or uneven amount of water).

② measure the input voltage: normal working voltage of CW-5000 series is AC 220V.

a) If the flow switch does not enter the normal operating voltage, can determine the input line of

flow switch broken;

b) If the flow switch has a normal input voltage, we can do the next step

③Use measurement tools to detect the relay coil input voltage: CW-5000 series of the normal

working voltage of AC220V.

a) if the coil of the relay does not enter the normal operating voltage, can determine the flow

switch broken or the circuit of the flow switch open circuit;

b) If the coil of the relay has a normal input voltage, can judge as relay problem

④ Use measuring tools to detect the output voltage of power supply: CW-5000 series, the normal

operating voltage is DC24V.

a) if the power supply with output DC24V, can determine the water pump failure (pump normal

working voltage DC22V-24V);

b) If the output voltage is less than DC18V, the voltage is low, affecting how far the water can

reach and the flux of water, can determine the power supply or pump failure (need to replace the

power supply in order to determine whether the pump is right or not).

Method 2 (no measurement tools)

Turn off the power of chiller, cut off the input line of flow switch, and then short circuit the input

line, open chiller, check the situation of the chiller.

a) Panel red light does not light, green light, the buzzer stops ringing, you can determine the flow

switch failure;

b) Red led on, buzzer keep on ringing, can determine the circuit from flow switch to relay is bad;

1.2) stop alarming (Panel red light off, green light on, buzzer stop alarming)

Determine the cause

The outside pipe blocked, in another hand, the pipes on the machine may somewhere get blocked

2. No alarm signal at outlet (panel red light on, green light off, the buzzer beep, beep, beep sound)

Failure cause

A) Pipe get blocked from the pump to the outlet of chiller

B) Water level inside the tank is lower than the inlet of the pump

C) Accessories or wire connection failure

Method to determine

① Observe whether there is shaking of the pump during working, abnormal noise and other

conditions affecting water flow.

② Cut off the power supply cord, direct checking if output voltage is DC24V or not (because

power supply has short circuit protection for external load switching).

a) If there is no output voltage on power supply, can be judged as power supply or pump failure

(need to replace the power supply in order to determine whether the pump failure)

b) If the power supply has output DC24V voltage, can determine the water pump problem

If you’re worrying about the leak of refrigerant,you need to scratch the cotton, checking the

inside pipe,if you find something like greasy, please check if this pipe get broken, whether the

pipes need to fasten or replace.
